    Miami’s 8 biggest home sales of 2017

Led by a $44M mansion in Coral Gables

Nearly halfway through 2017 and there already have been a handful of blockbuster single-family home sales across Miami-Dade County.

Topping the list is 1 Casuarina Concourse, the Alan Potamkin-owned mansion in Coral Gables with nearly 1,000 feet of Biscayne Bay frontage that sold for $43.7 million in March. Seven homes have eclipsed the $20 million mark so far.

Here are the eight biggest home sales in the county so far this year, according to Redfin data. Also be sure to check out our maps of the 10 priciest Miami homes on the market and the 12 biggest sales of 2016.

    1) Casuarina Concourse

    Sale price: $43.7 million

This aforementioned 20,682-square-foot home in Coral Gables boasts nearly 1,000 feet of bay frontage, and sits on three-plus acres. It includes a koi pond, enormous pool overlooking the bay, a tennis/basketball court, and a cabana with a summer kitchen in the backyard.

    2) Palazzo Del Sol Penthouse 2

    Sale price: $31.3 million

Here we have a fully-loaded penthouse at Palazzo Del Sol on Fisher Island measuring 9,715-square-feet. Initially asking $38.5 million, it was the priciest residence for sale on the exclusive Miami Beach island.

    3) Porsche Design Tower Penthouse

    Sale price: $25 million

Next up is the Porsche Design Tower penthouse that closed in April. The four-level residence overlooking Sunny Isles Beach features a car gallery on the 56th floor in addition to two other “sky garages” for regular use.

    4) Oceana Bal Harbour penthouse

    Sale price: $25 million

Sitting in fourth on our map is the top-floor penthouse at Oceana Bal Harbour. Included is a two-zone wine cellar and tremendous views of the beach and ocean below.

    5) 4555 Pine Tree Drive

    Sale price: $22.6 million

This spectacular Miami Beach spec home with the 43-foot concrete waterslide didn’t get anything close to its $34 million ask but it was still among the coolest homes to hit the market last year.

    6) Casa Clara

    Sale price: $22 million

The tropical modern beauty at 212 West Dilido Drive didn’t land close to its $36 million asking price but it did set a Venetian Islands record. The modern home features pocketing walls of sliding glass doors, a home theater, and both an outdoor kitchen and a private beach overlooking Biscayne Bay.

    7) Park Bay House

    Sale price: $20 million

Here’s a 12,000-square-foot spec home on North Bay Road located a few doors down from former Miami Heat superstar Chris Bosh. It boasts a 1,600-square-foot rooftop terrace and 100 feet of water frontage.

    8) 310 Harbor Drive

    Sale price: $19 million

The final home sale on our list is also the freshest, as the 9,616-square-foot estate on Key Biscayne built by Charles H. Pawley sold a mere week ago. It includes a grand foyer outfitted with skylight ceilings and a waterfall.
